Legitimate holder protection

The IMEI, IMSI and MSISDN are linked to protect the legitimate holder and preserve their number.

The problem

The demand on the operator

When an IMEI is repeated, a restriction requires verifying the link with the legitimate holder. Portability requires every MSISDN to be routed correctly.

The response

ATC's response

Sx-EIR links the IMEI, IMSI and MSISDN, and authorizes or restricts their combinations with evidence and a legal basis; Sx-EIR One Control adds MSISDN Control and triplets. Sx-NpX maintains portability across every network generation.

How it works

How it operates in the network

  1. Link

The module records IMEI–IMSI–MSISDN associations and their history.

  2. Legal basis

Each restriction is activated with the evidence and legal basis the operator approves, with prior notice to the subscriber.

  3. Portability

Sx-NpX queries the ported number database and links the ported MSISDN with Sx-EIR.

Results

Results for the operator

  • Legitimate holder protected when an IMEI is repeated
  • MSISDN blocking orders fulfilled
  • Portability in line with the regulator's framework
Next step

Data is processed on the infrastructure the operator designates, under its control.

ATC reviews the platform the operator prioritizes and proposes the appropriate configuration. Sizing and review are provided at no cost.

  • Review of the platform and the network interfaces
  • Sizing according to the operator's infrastructure
  • Staged proposal: module, platform or delegated operation
